Have a question?

Are you looking for a job in education? We have a number of vacancies currently available on our jobs page!

To find a job in the education sector, you need to consider what age groups you can teach, what subjects you can teach, what type of school you would want to teach in and you will also need to look at some relevant job descriptions to see the entry requirements you will need.

After you have done this, it is time to start applying! Perfect your CV and cover letter to help enhance your chances.

If you have no previous education experience, you can still get a job as a teaching assistant. However, you may still be at a disadvantage in juxtaposition to other candidates that have had prior experience.

To improve your chances you need to; make a good impression, be familiar with the role, acquire a qualification, gain experience working with children and try to learn anything you may not know before your interview- you could consider online certification courses.

To work as a teacher, you will need a UK teaching degree (e.g. BA/BSc with QTS, or a PGCE)
