We are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Service Officer to join the Barnet Youth Offending team in Colindale. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by supporting young people at risk of offending and helping them achieve positive futures.
What you’ll do:
- Supervise statutory court orders and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and present reports to Youth and Crown Courts.
- Deliver targeted interventions to reduce reoffending.
- Work directly with young people and families in the community and custody settings.
- Support resettlement and facilitate restorative justice opportunities.
- Collaborate with social care, police, probation, health, education, and voluntary partners.
What we’re looking for:
- Background in Youth Justice, Probation, or a similar statutory setting.
- Strong case management, assessment, and report writing skills.
- Confidence representing the service in court.
- Knowledge of youth justice legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to start quickly and hit the ground running.
