A client within the Public Sector based in Suffolk is currently recruiting for a Voids Coordinator to join their Repairs and Voids team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing and property services environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide support to surveyors and local teams to ensure homes are re-let in good condition, within target timescales, and to a high standard for residents.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Supporting surveyors and inspectors in coordinating pre and post void inspections.
• Providing robust administrative support functions including managing databases, processing invoices, raising purchase orders, and reporting on team performance.
• Liaising with contractors, inspectors, and regional teams to ensure void works are carried out to required quality standards and timescales.
• Assisting in compliance administration including gas, electrical, EPC and asbestos inspections.
• Maintaining accurate property and void records across housing management systems.
• Organising meetings, preparing reports, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Supporting cost and quality audits of void works and providing timely feedback to managers.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting surveyors in housing, voids or property maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good knowledge of housing repairs processes, compliance requirements and voids management.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with contractors, residents, and colleagues.
  • Strong IT skills, including use of housing management systems and MS Office.
  • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving ability.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £200 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £150 per dayPAYE).
