Solicitor (Child Care)

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a highly regarded Midlands-based Local Authority who are looking to recruit an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their busy legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare law specialist to undertake meaningful and rewarding work within the public sector, supporting the protection and welfare of vulnerable children.
 
Role: Childcare Solicitor
Location: Midlands – hybrid
Contract: 6 months ongoing
Umbrella Rate: £50-£55ph
PAYE Inc. Hol. Rate: £44.06 - £48.41ph
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting advocacy in the Family Court and supporting counsel when required.
• Managing a varied caseload of childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders, adoption, and related public law proceedings.
• Drafting and preparing all necessary legal documentation.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with strong experience in childcare law.
• Confident advocate with experience representing clients in court.
• Strong knowledge of public childcare proceedings and relevant legislation.
