Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our client, a policing organisation, supporting the delivery and management of critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operation and control of Wide Area and Local Area network infrastructure.
  
  
• Monitoring network traffic loads and performance using management tools to ensure agreed service levels.
  
  
• Identifying and resolving operational problems, implementing network changes, and performing maintenance routines.
  
  
• Producing reports and proposals to support service delivery improvements.
  
  
• Acting as a subject matter expert, coaching and mentoring other engineers to ensure best practice across the technical team.
  
  

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong technical expertise in networking, with hands-on experience in:
  
  
• Checkpoint
  
  
• Fortinet
  
  
• Cisco
  
  
• Solarwinds
  
  
• Ivanti Pulse
  
  
• Excellent understanding of networking protocols and standards.
  
  
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language.
  
  
• Recognised IT networking qualification (or equivalent experience).
  
  
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  
  
  • Rate: £450.00 per day (Outside IR35)
    
    
  • Location: HQ South or Southampton
    Flexibility to travel between sites as required – full UK driving licence essential.
