Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse Service
📍 Location: Grimsby
⏰ Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week
📄 Contract: 3 months (with potential extension)
💰 Rates of Pay:
As a Recovery Worker, you will provide direct support to service users, helping them to build recovery-focused plans, access community resources, and maintain long-term wellbeing. You’ll play a key role in delivering both one-to-one and group interventions in line with the service’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Previous experience in substance misuse, recovery work, or a related health/social care role.
✔ A good understanding of harm reduction, relapse prevention, and safeguarding.
✔ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate others.
✔ The ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
✔ A valid DBS (required for this position).

- PAYE (exclusive of holiday pay): £15.59 per hour
- PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay): £18.59 per hour
- Umbrella rate: up to £21 per hour

- Build strong, supportive relationships to encourage engagement.
- Work in partnership with healthcare professionals, safeguarding teams, and community organisations.
- Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with service standards.
