Contract: 3 months (initial)

Pay Rate: £20 per hour (via umbrella company) (£15 PAYE an hour)
Requirement: Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
About the Role We are seeking a qualified Nursery Education Worker (Level 3 in Childcare) to join a vibrant early years setting in the London Borough of Islington. You will be part of a dedicated team working across Babies, Toddlers, or Nursery Class, providing high-quality care and education for children.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing within an inclusive, child-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Take joint responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in your care.
- Undertake child protection training at a level appropriate to the role.
- Support the development and delivery of play-based, child-centred learning, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes independence, creativity, and emotional stability.
- Work collaboratively with a range of professionals to support integrated services for children and families, including participation in CAF/TAC meetings where required.
- Build strong partnerships with parents/carers, encouraging their involvement in their child’s education and supporting smooth transitions.
- Act as a Key Person for a small group of children, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with families.
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience working with Babies, Toddlers, or Nursery-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and EYFS frameworks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
