Project Officer (Changing Futures)
Job Title: Project Officer (Changing Futures)
Location: Plymouth
Pay Rate: £14.08 PAYE per hour Limited/Umbrella: £18.34 per hour
Contract: Until 31/12/2026
Plymouth City Council is seeking a motivated Project Officer to join the Changing Futures programme — a government and lottery funded initiative tackling systemic inequalities faced by people experiencing multiple disadvantage (including homelessness, poor mental health, domestic abuse, and contact with the criminal justice system).
About the Role You will support the delivery of systems change projects by providing project management, coordination, and communication across partner organisations. This role is central to embedding trauma-informed, co-produced approaches and ensuring learning is shared locally, regionally, and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Knowledge of systems change and co-production approaches (e.g., Appreciative Inquiry, System Dynamics, Vanguard Method).
- Understanding of the challenges faced by people with multiple disadvantage.
- Experience delivering/facilitating system change workshops and project delivery.
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence, innovate, and work collaboratively across systems.
Desirable: Project/change management qualifications, trauma-informed practice knowledge, and experience using collaboration tools (MS Teams, Miro, Trello).
