Prison Nurse - Cheshire

Rate: £27.78 per hour (Ltd Umbrella) / £24.49 per hour (PAYE Inclusive)
Hours: 37 hours per week (across 4 days)

Job Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced cleared Prison Nurse (RMN) to join the healthcare team in Cheshire.

Working within a secure environment, you’ll deliver essential nurse-led services that mirror those found in the wider community, while also addressing the unique needs of individuals in custody. This is a rewarding opportunity to support and influence a patient’s journey throughout their time in prison.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for minor illnesses, injuries, and urgent/emergency presentations.
  
  
• Complete initial health assessments and care planning for new arrivals.
  
  
• Administer medication in line with local and national guidelines.
  
  
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and custodial staff.
  
  
• Promote health and wellbeing in a respectful, patient-centred manner.
  
  

Person Specification

• Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) registered with the NMC.
  
  
• Prison experience essential, with recent work in a secure setting.
  
  
• Must hold valid Cat A clearance and have a clear, transferable Enhanced DBS check.
  
  
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-agency setting while maintaining professionalism and patient dignity.
