Job Title: Plumbing Operative
Department: Response Repairs and Voids
Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour

Role Overview We’re looking for a skilled Plumbing Operative to deliver a high-quality, “right first time” maintenance service. The role includes repairs, refurbishments, new installations, and replacements across occupied and void properties. You’ll carry out fault diagnosis, material ordering, and provide excellent customer service aligned with performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out plumbing repairs in homes and garages
  
  
• Install/repair bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, cold water tanks
  
  
• Identify and fix leaks, including hidden leaks
  
  
• Maintain or install hot/cold water systems, cylinders, and rainwater goods
  
  
• Clear or repair drainage systems
  
  
• Attend training, toolbox talks, and team meetings
  
  
• Safely erect towers/ladders and work at height
  
  
• Join the out-of-hours standby rota
  
  
• Supervise apprentices or trainees as required
  
  
• Follow health & safety and company policies
  
  

Requirements Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year post-training plumbing experience or equivalent
  
  
• Additional trade skills/qualifications (desirable)
  
  

Experience & Skills

• Team player with ability to work independently
  
  
• Experience in customer-facing roles and occupied properties
  
  
• Good communication and time management
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability
  
  
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety
  
  
• Full, clean UK driving licence
