Position: Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Nurse

Contract Length: Initially 2 months, with strong potential for extension
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (shifts available: 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm)
Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella) / £21.46 PAYE (excluding holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality mental health assessments, interventions, and support to patients presenting in acute hospital settings.
- Liaise closely with hospital staff, community teams, and external agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for service users.
- Administer medication, monitor patient progress, and respond to mental health crises as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC registration required)
- Previous experience in liaison psychiatry, crisis, or community mental health settings
- Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
