About the Role
Lewis at Service Care Solutions is assisting Lincolnshire Police in the recruitment of an MCU Investigator to join the Major Crime Unit (MCU) based at Sleaford Police Station.
The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating major crimes under the MCU remit, including interviewing suspects, gathering evidence from victims and witnesses, and preparing case files for court. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile investigations and support vulnerable victims.

- PAYE: £17.24 per hour
- Umbrella: £22.76 per hour
About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating major crimes under the MCU remit, including interviewing suspects, gathering evidence from victims and witnesses, and preparing case files for court. Key Responsibilities (please refer to JDPS for full details)
- Undertake proportionate and effective investigations into major crime, ensuring compliance with CPIA, Victims Code, and other legislation.
- Conduct and co-ordinate interviews with suspects, victims, and witnesses, including vulnerable individuals.
- Prepare high-quality case files within court deadlines.
- Attend court and provide evidence as required.
- Work closely with other policing departments and multi-agency partners.
- Utilise IT systems effectively to support investigations and intelligence sharing.
- Essential: PIP1 qualified investigator.
- Experience gathering information/evidence and conducting interviews.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- IT proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, and police systems after training).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
- Must be able to pass Management Vetting and drug screening.
- All candidates must bring valid ID (Passport and a utility bill dated within 3 months) to interview for vetting purposes.
- This is a fixed-term assignment until 31 March 2026.
