Maintenance Surveyor – Housing Association in Surrey

We are working with a leading housing association in Surrey who are seeking a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join their team. You will play a key role in delivering a professional surveying service across responsive repairs, voids, disrepair cases and cyclical maintenance programmes.

We are working with a leading housing association in Surrey who are seeking a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join their team. You will play a key role in delivering a professional surveying service across responsive repairs, voids, disrepair cases and cyclical maintenance programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostic inspections, technical surveys and post-inspections, producing clear reports.
- Oversee and manage contractor performance on repairs, voids, FRA and complex works to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
- Manage disrepair claims, environmental health orders, and insurance inspections.
- Ensure effective budget control of approx. £2m within your region, reviewing contractor invoices and challenging costs where necessary.
- Support handover of new developments, ensuring quality control and managing defect periods.
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction, engaging with residents, leaseholders, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure health & safety compliance across all works, including asbestos awareness and CDM responsibilities.
- Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance (Level 3) or equivalent.
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, or another relevant professional body.
- Experience in housing, repairs & maintenance, contractor management and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, health & safety, regulatory standards, and asset management.
- Excellent communication, reporting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, manage small projects, and work to deadlines.
