We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Safe Accommodation Young Person’s Housing Support Worker to provide specialist housing-related support to young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.
The Role
You will act as a keyworker for young people within supported accommodation and the wider community. The role focuses on enabling positive outcomes through tailored support, with particular emphasis on domestic abuse awareness, healthy relationships, and independent living skills.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Safe Accommodation Young Person’s Housing Support Worker to provide specialist housing-related support to young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.
The Role
You will act as a keyworker for young people within supported accommodation and the wider community. The role focuses on enabling positive outcomes through tailored support, with particular emphasis on domestic abuse awareness, healthy relationships, and independent living skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out holistic assessments and create support plans addressing housing, health, and social needs.
- Provide homelessness prevention support for young people and care leavers.
- Deliver one-to-one and group sessions on domestic abuse and healthy relationships.
- Assist young people to access benefits, health services, and longer-term accommodation.
- Ensure compliance with licence agreements, including monitoring payments and arrears.
- Attend and contribute to case conferences, MARAC, and multi-agency meetings.
- Maintain accurate case records and produce reports as required.
- Work creatively to engage young people and encourage participation in positive activities.
- Experience supporting young people aged 16–25, particularly those facing multiple disadvantages.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies, welfare benefits, and services available to young people.
- Able to assess and manage risk effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate, with ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Enhanced DBS with Adult and Children’s Barred List checks required.
- Flexible working – evenings and weekends on a rota.
