Family Time Supervisor – Chelmsley Wood (Willow House, B37 5UH)
Full Time – 37 hours per week
We’re looking for a Family Time Supervisor to join our team at Willow House, 2 Chelmsley Circle, Chelmsley Wood (B37 5UH).
In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and families during family time contact sessions, ensuring every visit is safe, positive, and child-centred.

We’re looking for a Family Time Supervisor to join our team at Willow House, 2 Chelmsley Circle, Chelmsley Wood (B37 5UH).
In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and families during family time contact sessions, ensuring every visit is safe, positive, and child-centred.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervising and observing family time contact between children and their families, ensuring children are never left alone with parents.
- Undertaking assessments during contact sessions and maintaining clear, accurate records of observations.
- Providing support, advice, and guidance to parents where appropriate, helping them to create a positive experience for their child.
- Transporting children to and from contact sessions (essential car user).
- Liaising with social workers, IROs, and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
- Ensuring conversations remain appropriate and focused on the child, not on care plans or sensitive matters.
- Promoting safe practice and a nurturing environment, with an understanding of child development and the importance of age-appropriate interactions.
- Experience of supervising or supporting family time/contact sessions is essential.
- Confident in offering supportive, respectful, and empathetic guidance to parents.
- Understanding of child development and how to create a safe, engaging environment for children.
- Able to build professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
