Employment Lawyer

Service Care Legal are recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a local authority in the North London region. As an Employment Education Lawyer, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation throughout the council on employment matters.

ROLE:                  Employment Lawyer
LOCATION:          North London
CONTRACT:        3 months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per week
RATE:                   £50ph LTD (£44.51ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £39.72ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)

Please note that this would require office attendance once per week.

The Role

• Provide high-quality legal advice and representation on employment matters including YUPE, unfair dismissals and tribunals.
• Advise on changes in legislation and case law that may impact our organization
• Represent the council in courts, tribunals, and inquiries
• To advice on the occasional education law matter

Role Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
• Relevant experience working in employment and education law, preferably in local government
• Significant specialism in depth knowledge in employment and education law
• Experience of conducting complex cases with minimal supervision
