Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out safe and effective electrical work—covering repairs, installations, servicing, and inspection & testing—across a wide range of housing stock. You'll be helping maintain properties to a high standard while delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out safe electrical works on time and to a high standard, ensuring compliance with BS7671.
- Effectively identify and repair faults, rewire domestic systems, and deliver work in line with internal standards.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to keep all parties informed of work progress.
- Refer complex issues to senior staff as needed.
- Set out jobs from drawings/specifications, requisition materials, and test completed systems.
- Deliver full electrical works in kitchens, bathrooms, and complete property rewires (occupied and void properties).
- Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
- Maintain a clean and roadworthy company vehicle, carrying out safety checks and reporting defects.
- Support apprentices and trainees as needed.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 / 2351 / Approved equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or AM2 assessment
- BS:7671 (18th Edition) compliant
- Previous training via registered apprenticeship or equivalent route
- Practical experience in fault finding, testing, and commissioning of installations
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to travel efficiently, including to areas not served by public transport
- Good IT skills and excellent customer service skills
- City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (Initial Verification, Certification, Periodic Inspection & Testing)
- Competitive hourly rate
