About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our client's children’s residential service. You will work in close partnership with the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality care, provide leadership to the team, and ensure the home meets all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the home meets inspection and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, motivate and supervise residential staff, ensuring high-quality practice and professional development.
- Oversee and quality-assure care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans.
- Contribute to recruitment, training, rota management, and performance monitoring.
- Promote a child-centred culture where the voices of young people are listened to and acted upon.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth running of the home.
- Support effective budget and resource management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in residential childcare, with supervisory or management responsibilities.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team while maintaining high professional standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and competing priorities.
