Contact Supervision Worker – Birmingham Children’s Trust
? Location: Lifford House, Birmingham
? Hours: 36.5 per week
? Contract: Agency – Inside IR35

Are you passionate about supporting children and families? Birmingham Children’s Trust is looking for an experienced Contact Supervision Worker to join their team on a short-term basis.

About the Role You will play a vital role in supporting children and their families by:

• Supervising and facilitating contact sessions between children and their parents/carers.
  
  
• Promoting safe, positive, and meaningful interactions.
  
  
• Ensuring contact is in line with safeguarding plans and care plans.
  
  
• Observing, recording, and reporting on the quality of contact sessions.
  
  
• Working closely with social workers, family support teams, and other professionals to promote children’s welfare.
  
  
• Maintaining accurate written records and providing clear feedback to inform assessments.

About You We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a similar role, such as contact supervision, family support, or children’s residential/early help settings.
  
  
• A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child development.
  
  
• Excellent observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
  
  
• The ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in challenging situations.
  
  
• Flexibility to work across weekdays and potentially some evenings or weekends to meet service needs.
