Locum Children's Social Worker – Kinship Team

Gateshead Council is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join thier Kinship Team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team focused on supporting children and their kinship carers within a well-established local authority. As a key member of the Kinship Team you will work under the guidance of the Interim Kinship Team Manager and be responsible for:

• Supervising kinship carers
• Completing Connected Persons Assessments and Regulation 24 Assessments
• Conducting Foster Carer Reviews
• Contributing to the delivery of support services for kinship placements

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Proven experience in children’s social care ideally with a focus on kinship care or fostering
• Strong assessment, report writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment

Contract Details

• Locum/Agency Contract
• £27.56 per hour (via umbrella)
• Based in Gateshead (hybrid working may be considered)
