Children’s Contact Worker – Birmingham Children’s Trust
Location: Birmingham

We are now looking for Children’s Contact Workers to join our team and support children in care to maintain safe and meaningful contact with their families.

About the Role As a Contact Worker, you will:
- Safely transport and supervise children and young people for family contact.
- Ensure that contact requirements and safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Produce clear, high-quality written reports after each session.
- Build positive working relationships with children, parents, carers, and professionals.
- Keep contact rooms safe and welcoming, and support the smooth running of the service.
What We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Substantial experience of direct work with children under 10 years (paid, voluntary, or personal).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with children and families.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and car safety legislation.
- Confidence to work independently and write quality reports.
- A flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Sole use of a car for work purposes.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including outside of core hours.
