About the Role We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Case Administrator / Typist to join the Case Management Team within North Wales Police Service. Reporting to the Case Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the preparation and processing of prosecution files, handling sensitive information, and ensuring efficient case progression.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same – from typing interview transcriptions to managing digital evidence, you’ll be central to the smooth running of our casework.

What You’ll Do
- Provide admin support to the Case Team, including checking and processing prosecution files.
- Scan and upload documents onto the Niche Record Management System (RMS).
- Type reports, statements, and interview transcriptions with accuracy (minimum 35wpm).
- Manage case file storage, document transit, and multimedia evidence.
- Carry out PNC checks on defendants and witnesses as required.
- Assist with general office duties such as mail handling, filing, and photocopying.
- Liaise with officers, colleagues, and external agencies to resolve queries.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database use.
- Typing speed of at least 35wpm (audio typing skills an advantage, or willingness to learn).
- Previous administrative/clerical experience.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work with discretion, professionalism, and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to occasionally work at alternative sites within the region.
