About the Role

About the Role
As a Minerva Activities Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our women’s centre, ensuring women feel welcomed, supported, and engaged when accessing the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for women arriving at the centre or calling via the helpline, offering a warm, trauma-informed welcome.
- Designing and delivering a lively programme of activities in partnership with specialist organisations and local partners.
- Leading induction sessions for women joining the service, helping them navigate the centre, its interventions, and activities.
- Supporting Keyworkers to induct women into the service, ensuring initial contacts, assessments, and action plans are recorded.
- Coordinating group workshops and activities, managing the centre’s timetable and activities calendar.
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive centre environment, including managing donation supplies, information leaflets, and refreshments.
- Acting as liaison for external counsellors and delivery partners, ensuring smooth operations and gathering feedback to improve services.
- Collecting and recording service user feedback on all activities, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Building positive, supportive relationships with women accessing the centre to encourage confidence and sustained engagement.
About You
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with:
- Experience supporting vulnerable communities and knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- The ability to deliver engaging activities in a trauma-informed and inclusive way.
- Strong organisational skills and confidence working independently and in partnership with others.
- This post is open to female applicants only under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
- Candidates must have current active vetting in place, with at least 6 months continuous service in HMPPS/CRS provisions.
