Service Care Solutions have been a recruitment partner to Malling Health for 12 months with the purpose of the engagement to offer support with the supply of locum clinicians into Malling Health’s 7 Urgent Care Centers spanning across the Midlands region offering continuity and consistency of supply to Malling Health’s management team to ensure maximum efficiencies.
Challenge
Upon initial engagement Malling Health had identified that the cost of the supply across multiple agencies varied dramatically and therefore it was becoming difficult to plan rota’s that provide the sites with a clinically safe level of cover whilst remaining cost effective. Service Care Solutions task was to present a cost-effective solution whilst maintaining a high level of compliance and quality of candidate.
Solution
Service Care Solutions’ Primary Care management team met with the operational management team at Malling Health to understand the requirements in depth from a clinical perspective to ensure the level of qualification and training that were needed to operate to a high level within the Malling Health services. Upon agreement of requirements Service Care Solutions team began a market analysis project to determine a cost for the service.
After quickly completing this Service Care Solutions established that when using our extensive recruitment resources and existing candidate relationships, we were able to offer Malling Health an average cost reduction per candidate of over £300 per month. We did this whilst ensuring the quality of candidate did not waiver adapting our internal processes to reflect that of Malling Health’s own onboarding of bank candidates to ensure that to the end recipient of the care given, there would be no obvious distinction between Service Care Solution staff and Malling Health’s own staff.
Outcome
In the initial months Service Care Solutions managed to onboard 21 candidates with Malling Health with an average saving of £5 per hour per candidate compared to other agency suppliers. Fast forward 12 months and those 21 candidates have worked in excess of 3000 hours meaning a saving of over £15,000 for Malling Health.
