Change Grow Live

Service Care Solutions have a long-established relationship with Change Grow Live, with our first agency placement being made back in 2011. Throughout the last 14 years, both parties have worked successfully together to engage in both the short and long term fulfilment of staffing shortfalls that have been a constant across the Substance Misuse and Addictions sector.

Change Grow Live are a nationwide charity that was formed back in 1977, where they was solely volunteered led. Their initial focus was to reduce the amount of re-offenders going back to prison, which with some research done showed that it was down to homelessness. They then expanded their research to find that substance misuse was also a major factor in the cause of committing crimes, so started to branch off into different sub sectors and open up a rehabilitation unit. With this was the start of a chain events that expanded the Charity nationwide, as they saw this was national problem and they wanted to help as many people as possible.

Challenge

With Change Grow Live having specialties across such a vulnerable sector, it couldn’t be any more important that that the correct candidates are put in place. With the numerous amounts of staffing positions (Recovery Workers, Drugs Workers, Substance Misuse to name a few ) needed to enable the full process of rehabilitation, along side the niche of what different types of recovery is needed per service, it then has the ripple effect  and creates a big challenge to find the right help, the right experienced staff that each service so desperately needs.

Solution

With the longstanding relationship between both Service Care Solutions and Change Grow Live, it has been made very evident the amount of detail taken from each job brief to ensure the right candidates are put in place for each role.

Using Service Care Solutions large candidate pool and the full understanding of the market the team are very quick to put suitable candidates forward to the managers in a very shortly amount of time. With the essence of the market, the turnaround time is usually within the first 48 hours of the job being released, quickly followed by an interview, then quick turn around for the candidates to start placement in the days to follow. The efforts of the team show how fast and effective, plus their need from the client stand point in this sector.

Outcome

Over the last 3 years Service Care Solutions have had 228 placements nationally with Change Grow Live, more recently over the last 12 months 12 have had 58 new placements on short term contracts and 5 of which have turned into permanent. Our idea and plan with this ever growing relationship is to ensure all needs are met as well as the understanding of making this cost effective for the client. With this is mind we have ensured that the minimal agency fees are changed on all placements, to make sure we work with Change Grow Lives plan of being a long standing charity that gives back and understands that society needs this Charity to Grow and to Change Lives.
